Quarterly Update: It's that time again!

In this post, we will cover continuous updates to HCM and new functionalities in 23D. Oracle Cloud Applications delivers new updates every quarter. 

Oracle Cloud HCM 23D release brings new functionalities, features, and security enhancements enabling customers to plan, manage and optimise their workforce. 

Some of the features are delivered Enabled meaning they are immediately available to end users whilst other features are delivered Disabled meaning you have to take action to make use of them.

Here are some highlights from Oracle HCM Cloud 23D:

Human Resources

Add Nonworkers as Managers in Responsive Employment flows: In responsive employment flows, a new feature allows for the inclusion of nonworkers as line managers, expanding the flexibility of the process. Additionally, different worker types can now be designated as line managers for a worker, offering more versatile management options. This enhancement does not require any specific setup and is automatically available.

Transactional Business Intelligence for Human Resources

New Subject Area To Report On Survey Journeys: A new subject area, “Workforce Management – Survey Journey Responses Real Time,” is now available for reporting on survey journeys and the responses provided by workers. This subject area allows users to analyze survey questionnaires and worker responses, particularly those assigned via journeys with the “Survey” category. It offers the ability to report on questions, responses, and survey assignment frequency. Access to this subject area is controlled by the “FBI_WORKFORCE_TRANSACTION_ANALYSIS_DUTY” duty role.

Release

This release is packed with many more features, with updates being rolled out from November 2023 onwards. 

Your cohort determines when the quarterly update is applied to your pods:

Cohort A: February-May-August-November

Cohort B: March-June-September-December

Cohort C: April-July-October-January

Stage pods are updated on the first Friday of your quarterly update month. Production pods are updated two weeks later on the third Friday of the month.
